The Poetry of Your Soul

I am guided to share these important excerpts from the awesome book by Lynn V. Andrews entitled Flight of the Seventh Moon – The Teaching of the Shields, as lately so many are undergoing a deep alchemical transformation, especially related to their solar plexus (multidimentionally); the claiming back of all the Power that we are.

Agnes Whistling Elk:

“You are always faced with choices,” she said. “You have the choice to nourish or you have the choice to destroy with your power. When you teach apprentices about power, it is very important to take them through their fears in the beginning, because evil and manipulation are caused by greed and envy, which are born of fear. To go through your own fears, you have to learn of yourself. It is hard to know yourself without making an act of power or an act of beauty.”

“What do you mean?”

“First of all, let me explain what I mean by power. That is a word whose meaning has been twisted in your world. When you say power, people become afraid. They think of the police and the tax collectors and someone having power over them. That is not what I mean by power. Power, in my way, is the understanding of the spirit of medicine energy that flows through all beings. A medicine person can translate that energy into healing and transformation for herself or others. Power is strength and the ability to see yourself through your own eyes and not through the eyes of another. It is being able to place a circle of power at your own feet and not take power from someone else’s circle. True power is love.

“The problem is the same for both men and women, but for women it is more difficult. How does a woman from your society arrive at wisdom? In reality, a woman is not powerless, and neither is a man. Because of lies, it is difficult for a woman to pick up the bow of authority in her own life. As a warrioress, Lynn, you must pick it up and learn how to use it. Many women look at the bow of authority as an object outside themselves and are afraid to pick it up.

If you speak to a person who is standing in a powerless position and tell her to take her power, she becomes frightened because you are implying change. She must take a step into the mystery of the unknown to become powerful.

If a person has power, as women do, and she doesn’t use it, power will sit within her and have no place to focus. It is then that power becomes twisted and evil. It can turn against the person who has called it. If a person backs away from her power, she will develop back problems and all sorts of physical ailments.

The greatest danger, if you have not walked with your fear and made it your ally, is that you will have no purpose and no direction and your power will become homeless and transient. It will destroy you.”

Ruby Plenty of Chiefs:

“You see all of your own doubts in me,” Ruby said. “You see your anger. You see many things that you don’t like, even your own blindness. You don’t like to be around me very much because you fear me. There will come a time when you will accept yourself in your totality and you will become indifferent to me. I will no longer be a threat to you. You will also become indifferent to Agnes. Right now you are not capable of that. You are not aware yet. But take a look at the contrary – the sacred clown who tests all your beliefs.

When you have let loose of your fears to let them flutter off of their own accord, you will remember that the ancient way of strength is feminine, of the womb. It is receptive. You can hold up the shields and become self-reliant. When you become indifferent to me, your fear will have flown away. That will be a big medicine time for you. There will then be room for others.”

Love all that you are. It is time.
